Esk Valley Theatre

On Sunday 18^th March the Esk Valley Theatre will be playing host to actress Lesley Nicol who is currently appearing as Mrs. Patmore in the award-winning series Downton Abbey. Lesley will be joining Mark Stratton on stage at the Robinson Institute in Glaisdale, for an evening of conversation about her life and varied career on Stage, Television and Film.

We are delighted that Lesley is coming up to Glaisdale, said producer Sheila Carter. It is heart-warming that a busy actress like Lesley is prepared to travel up from London to give of her time to help EVT. We are looking forward to hearing about the many productions she has appeared in. Although well known for her roles on television, she has also worked in many regional theatres, including the Stephen Joseph in Scarborough. As well as straight plays and comedies, she has appeared in the West End in musicals such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Our House and Mamma Mia. Her film appearances include East is East and West is West.
