The Esk Valley Theatre believes in the power of cultural learning, and we believe every child should have the opportunity to experience a performance of The Incredible Journey.
If you care about the environment and share our passion for helping young minds to develop awareness of important environmental issues, then this is a show for you.
The Atlantic Salmon is struggling to survive in many British rivers and The Incredible Journey is a fast-moving piece of theatre, telling the story of two salmon who go on an amazing adventure from the river of their birth to the Atlantic Ocean and back. It is suitable for primary school children aged 6 - 11 and has many cross-curricular benefits, with particular relevance for those studying Life Processes and Living Things. The show is full of vibrant characters, music, song, dance and puppetry.
Our company will take you into an unforgettable world of strange and delightful creatures where dark forces are at work and two special fish need your help.
The production provides an opportunity to work on related topics both before and after the company's visit, but is also valuable purely as a piece of theatre. There is a question and answer session following each performance.
The Incredible Journey aims to inspire future generations to take more care of our rivers and oceans and the species that exist within them. We hope you will be inspired to book the show and look forward to hearing from you.
